Decene

Decene is an alkene with a molecular formula $\mathrm{C}{\phantom{A}}_{10}\mathrm{H}{\phantom{A}}_{20}$. The prefix "Dec" is derived from the fact that there are 10(ten) carbon atoms in the molecule, while the "-ene" suffix denotes that there is an alkene present—two carbon atoms are connected via a double bond. It is the ninth member of the homologous series of alkenes.
